In strict accordance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines concerning the use of endorsements and testimonials in advertising, this policy outlines our commercial relationships with affiliate networks, travel operators, and merchant brands.

1. What is an Affiliate Link?

Many of the outbound links on ecoguests.com are tracked affiliate hyperlinks. If you click on one of these links and complete a commercial transaction—such as purchasing plastic-free bathroom amenities or booking an eco-cabin—the merchant or network pays EcoGuests a small percentage referral commission.

This tracking occurs via safe browser cookies or secure server scripts. It never changes, increases, or affects the price you pay as a consumer. You pay the exact same rate while supporting our independent research.

2. Our Active Affiliate Network Partnerships

EcoGuests maintains formal publisher agreements with the following trusted affiliate platforms:

  • Stay22: Our interactive travel destination maps and booking widgets pull real-time options from global travel providers like Agoda, Booking.com, Expedia, and Vrbo. When you book a vacation rental or hotel stay through these maps, we receive a commission from Stay22.

  • Amazon Associates Program: EcoGuests is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

  • Awin & CJ Affiliate (Commission Junction): We partner with vetted green merchant brands on these networks to recommend eco-luxury linens, energy-efficient smart appliances, non-toxic bulk cleaning liquids, and sustainable guest welcome gifts.

3. Standards of Editorial Independence

Our commercial affiliate relationships have absolutely zero influence over our product selection, curation process, or destination reporting.

We only recommend product categories, services, and accommodation setups that align with practical zero-waste principles, lower carbon footprints, or verified environmental certifications (such as GOTS, Green Key, or OEKO-TEX®). If a product or property does not pass our baseline criteria for sustainability and host durability, we will not feature it on our platform—regardless of the commission rate offered by an affiliate network.

4. Third-Party Advertisements & Brands

While we carefully select the partners showcased in our Stay22 maps, EcoGuests does not directly own, manage, or control the inventory, booking systems, or shipping logistics of third-party platforms. Any customer service inquiries regarding booking adjustments, product returns, or shipping timelines must be directed to the specific merchant you purchased from.
